ECOSILAŽA – Zeolite mineral complex for silaging animal feed

ECOSILAŽA is used in the preparation of silage for all components: corn, clover, legumes, herbs, beet remains... This process is done lactic – by acid fermentation. Lactic - acid fermentation in silage mass is carried out by bacteria under anaerobic conditions at a temperature of 25 - 35°C. Condition for the smooth functioning of this process is that the weight of the silage mass contains a sufficient amount of carbohydrates - sugar and ECOSILAŽA at a concentration of 0.3 - 0.5%.

After each layer of particulate mass plants, ECOSIAŽA is poured evenly in certain amount. Then that layer is compacted with tractors and all this is repeated until the completion of silage. Fermented silage as feed is characterized by the presence of organic acids that occur in multiple weekly fermentation processes and act as a preservative. High acidity in silage would have a negative impact on consumption and therefore using ECOSILAŽA is reducing the negative effect of acetic acid and prevents the formation of a very undesirable butyric acid. Also, high moisture content can be especially bad for the quality of silage, or excessive wetting in the case of ensiling the drier of a slightly more mature corn, which creates the conditions for a rapid propagation of molds, which then release mycotoxins.
ECOSILAŽA prevents the development of mold, stop their spread and eliminate mycotoxins from silage. Optimal moment for creating silage from corn is when milk line reaches 1/2 to 1/3 of the grain. Then the total humidity is between 72% and 63% and then is the most preferred ratio of dry matter (34 - 37%) in the total mass of silage. And at the same time there is an optimal relationship between the optimal fiber starches (energetic part) and proteins. It is recommended that the height of cuttings is about 20 cm.
Filling the silo pits should be in the shortest possible time. Special attention should be paid on compression of the mass, because it contributes to the reduction of harmful processes inside the cutter (loss of nutrients) due to the effect of aerobic microorganisms. Practice showed that the protection of animal feed with ECOSILAŽA is more economical than with inoculants. Another advantage is that ECOSILAŽA is a feed additive which cattle eat. Covering the pit silo with foil 4-6mm in thickness starts the fermentation process with ECOSILAŽA and creates optimal conditions for obtaining excellent quality
